It's finally starting to feel like fall here in California, though the weather keeps changing its mind. A few weeks ago it was still 90 outside, and this week it was 80s, but we're starting to get some cooler weather and rain (FINALLY!!) every once in a while.
I'm not usually a fall person; I much prefer the hot weather, sunshine til 9pm and water activities that summer brings. But this year I'm surprisingly ready for the changing seasons. Plus who doesn't love a little pumpkin spice here and there?
One of the things I was most excited about this fall is the Lovely Letters exchange I joined this month! I was partnered with Paige at Moments for the Journey, and loved getting to know her. It's always so amazing to me when I meet new people who love the same things I do, and we share a passion for Doctor Who and our work with non-profits! Make sure to go check out her blog!
Getting snail mail is so much fun, and it really brightened my day to have opening it to look forward to.
In it I received:
- Thank you cards (always handy to have laying around)
- A journal and Sharpie pen in sea foam green (I love these pens AND that color- how did she know? And I can't wait to use the journal for travel once I run out of room in my current one)
- Pumpkin stickers with googly eyes (I can't wait to stick them EVERYWHERE)
- Owl gift tags (super cute)
- And a lovely letter!
I loved picking out everything to send Paige, especially because I'm a HUGE gift giver. I love figuring out what to get the people in my lives almost more than getting gifts. This has been such a great experience to get to know another blogger and use that archaic post office system again, and I can't wait for next month!
